FTP
FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol. It is a mean of transferring files over the Internet.

FTP can be used for file sharing, file servers and to update a website.

When you want to update a website you need to have an FTP account, log-in to that account and then you will be able to manage all the files on your website.

Macromedia Dreamweaver has one FTP client inside the program that can easily help to update a website.
